Private equity capitol continues to flock to Israel due to incredible investment opportunities in disruptive innovation In 2016, Israeli and foreign private equity funds invested a record $3.5 billion in 68 deals. In contrast, in 2015 there was just under the $3.1 billion of investment (14% less). In 2014, there was a total of $2.73 billion. Interestingly, while the private equity investment in Israel is increasing, the number of deals have actually dropped by 17%: There were 103 deals in 2015.
